Remedial Management


Background:
Remedial management is a field where there are few absolute principles. It requires the services of talented, flexible, patient, innovative, dedicated and decisive bank personnels who are not afraid to make hard decisions at the right time. Timely recognition of potential or actual problem loans is required in order to systematically collect and/or effect maximum cash recovery within the shortest time possible.

Objectives:
At the end of the seminar, the participants will be able to:

1. Learn how to manage risks and uncertainties associated with problem credits.

2. Understand the credit process and how banks end up having problem accounts.

3. Identify early warning signals for potential problem accounts and how banks can detect and respond to these.

4. Enhance their ability to handle problem accounts using three remedial options: Work-out, Liquidation and Litigation strategies.

5. Develop a re-entry plan designed to implement their learnings during the seminar into their own banks

Note:
* A maximum number of 30 participants.
* Registration fee per participant includes: payment for honorarium of resource speakers, hand-outs & kits, IDs, Certificates of Completion, invitation and coordination services of RBAP/RBRDFI staff, cost of the training venue, meals of resource speakers and RBAP/RBRDFI staff, transportation of the resource speakers to and from the venue, and secretariat services during the training.
*Participants who will be able to pay 2 weeks before the scheduled training are entitled to a 5% discount from the above registration fee.
