Credit Management Course


Rationale
Credit is one of the two most important functions of the banking business. Rural banks should be diligent in providing credit as they mostly realize their income from it. This course handholds the rural bank participants on the fundamental principles, processes and basic requirements of credit. It provides amodel showing the basic standards of credit from which rural banks can base, adopt and enhance their own credit system and operations.

Learning Objectives
At the end of the seminar, the participants will be able to:
1.) Apply the fundamentals of credit (5 "Cs" of Credit) in evaluation of prospective clients;
2.) Identify risks associated with lending to particular clients and be able to manage said risks;
3.) Design standard terms and conditions for loan products;
4.) Prepare a Credit Proposal for approval;
5.) Anticipate potential problems and be able to act expediently to mitigate risks associated with the problems;
6.) Determine Account Profitability for loan clients;
7.) conduct self-review and pass external/internal review; and
8.) Prepare a draft outline of a Credit Manual and a Manual of Operations for Credit.

Note:
* A maximum number of 30 participants.
* Registration fee per participant includes: payment for honorarium of resource speakers, hand-outs & kits, IDs, Certificates of Completion, invitation and coordination services of RBAP/RBRDFI staff, cost of the training venue, meals of resource speakers and RBAP/RBRDFI staff, transportation of the resource speakers to and from the venue, and secretariat services during the training.
*Participants who will be able to pay 2 weeks before the scheduled training are entitled to a 5% discount from the above registration fee.
